The iconic Hainanese Odeon Beef Noodles stall has been operating since 1948, and with its origins as a street hawker stall selling Hainanese beef noodles next to the old Odeon Theatre. Three generations of the founding family have taken over the reins at Hwa Heng, but our signature recipes still remain the same.

Hwa Heng Beef Noodle is expanding our presence in Singapore in 2024 with the opening of several new outlets. Our legacy stretches back to 1948, where we have been dedicated to serving soul-soothing bowls of beef noodles reminiscent of the 1940s era. The famous Hainanese Odeon Beef Noodles once graced the vicinity of the now-defunct Odeon Theatre, which sadly closed its doors in 1984.

After the closure, the delectable sticky beef noodles found a new home at Singapore’s first food court, tucked away in the basement of Scotts Shopping Centre on Scotts Road. More recently, devoted fans of Hwa Heng Beef Noodles might have relished our delightful offerings at ION Orchard’s Food Opera.

For more than three decades, beef noodle enthusiasts recognized Hwa Heng Beef Noodle as a constant fixture on Orchard Road. Despite the hurdles posed by the challenges of the Covid period, our last remaining outlet at ION Orchard sadly closed its doors in 2021.

However, we are delighted to announce our triumphant return. In 2022, we reopened our doors at a new location on Jalan Besar, and in 2023, we introduced another outlet in Simei. These new ventures mark our resurgence, allowing us to continue the legacy of serving delectable beef noodles to our valued patrons. Additionally, we have expanded further with outlets in Toa Payoh, Clementi, and our latest addition to the family, Orchard Plaza Singapura in May 2024.
